Some central Ohio farmers who have sold more livestock than normal because of the drought have been given an extended period of time to replace the livestock and defer tax on the extra capital gains from the sales.

In central Ohio, farmers in Franklin, Madison and Pickaway counties are among those across the country who may be eligible for the extension.
